TMCC Dual Credit

TMCC Dual Credit/Jump Start Steps of Enrollment

  • Prerequisite for Dual Credit Enrollment: Students MUST have a minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher to be eligible for dual credit enrollment

  • Please refer to the TMCC Dates and Deadlines page (https://www.tmcc.edu/admissions/dates-and-deadlines) for specific registration dates. Key dates are listed below:
    • 2026 Summer/Fall course catalog opens March 15th
    • Summer Session registration for new TMCC students opens April 9th (April 8th for continuing students)
    • Fall Semester registration opens April 16th (April 15th for continuing students)
      • Reno High will NOT be offering onsite TMCC classes for the 2026-2027 school year 
    • Counselor approvals are ONLY done electronically (online permission to enroll form) 
      • The deadline to register for Fall 2026 (completely through TMCC) is the end of the Spring semester.
      • Students will be enrolled in the RHS core class until the counselor receives the approval form from TMCC
      • Counselor’s will NOT be approving applications over the summer months  
  • Fees are STUDENT RESPONSIBILITY
    • Payment to TMCC MUST be done by the end of the first and/or third quarter or students will be placed into a credit recovery class as well as the second semester class (if applicable).
  • Students MUST check their TMCC email- ALL communication on their part to students is through this email- account info in the student acceptance letter.
  • English 101 and Political Science/Economics are NOT allowed in the second semester.

  • To receive high school credit as well as the discount for a dual credit class, the course you plan to take must be listed on the WCSD Approved Dual Credit list: /Page/1976
